Pakistan’s pride Malala Yousafzai announced that she is finally an Oxford graduate! Following her announcement and heart-warming photos of celebration with her family, celebrities and notable personalities from across the world started congratulating her.
Malala shared her photo, covered in confetti and cutting cake with her family, captioning it:
“Hard to express my joy and gratitude right now as I completed my Philosophy, Politics, and Economics degree at Oxford. I don’t know what’s ahead. For now, it will be Netflix, reading and sleep.”
Malala is seen and followed as a figure of women empowerment and resilience worldwide after her brave fight against the terrorists. She was shot in the head by a Taliban gunman in Pakistan in 2012 for campaigning for women rights and girls’ education.
After surviving the attack, she extended her campaign to the entire world, inspiring millions. She became youngest Nobel peace prize winner in 2014.
ongratulating her for her educational achievement, heartfelt messages from the entire world were received.
The well-known author and former Oxford student Philip Pullman wrote: “Congratulations!” under her post. The Nasa astronaut Anne McClain wrote her an encouraging message, saying:
“Congratulations on your graduation Malala! For so many, higher education is the start of great things. For you, great things preceded it and I can only imagine the even greater ones to follow. The world is lucky to have you on it.”
