Meet Pari Gul Tareen: Balochistan’s first-ever female PSP that has now been posted as ASP

In an exciting new development, Balochistan now has its first-ever female ASP officer.

PSP officer Pari Gul Tareen has been posted as the Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Quetta Cantonment after clearing her CSS exam. She got the fourth position across the province.

The announcement for Gul’s posting was made by the police department of the province through a notification. The notification included details of the transfers and postings of nine officers, including Pari Gul.

Pari had passed the CSS exam back in 2017 and joined the police force. She is the first female PSP officer posted in Balochistan.

“Many other girls by getting inspired by my uniform now desire to join the police force”, she said in an interview with the Punjab Safe City Authority (PSCA).

Pari added that she was the first person from her family to have joined the police force, and the reason was that the police uniform inspired her a lot.

Pari Gul Tareen belongs to the Pishin district of Balochistan. She got her Master’s degree in English literature back in 2015 from the National University of Modern Languages (NUML).

Another woman from Balochistan, Kainat Azhar Khan is also in the PSP group after clearing her CSS exam in 2018. However, she is still training.
