In a groundbreaking development, Saudi women can now join the military as soldiers, lance corporals, corporals, sergeants, and staff sergeants.
Following the new judgment, every Saudi woman is eligible to join the forces, except the one who is not a government employee. The age limit of the woman is in-between 21 to 40 years. Moreover, the individual must be 155 centimeters tall or above. Other than this, she is required to pass admission procedures, have a clean record, and be medically fit.
She must also be an independent national identity cardholder, be a high-school graduate, and only marry a Saudi.
The military ranks will be made available in the Armed Forces Medical Services, Royal Saudi Strategic Missile Force, Royal Saudi Navy, Royal Saudi Air Defence, and Saudi Arabian Army.
