Here are all the Pakistani celebrities who made it to ’50 Asian Celebrities in the World List 2020′

Pakistan is second to none when it comes to talent. 2020 has been a big year for Pakistani celebrities and stars. Through their determination and hard work, they first made it to Forbes 2021 magazine, and now four of our Pakistani stars have been featured in the top 50 Asian Celebrities in the World List, published by a UK-based newspaper, Eastern Eye.

Among these celebrities are known names such as Sarwat Gillani, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, Bilal Abbas Khan, and Ali Zafar. The list basically includes celebrities who positively influenced the public and proved to be extraordinarily talented.

Here are the details of the basis on which these stars have been featured in the category and their ranks in the list among 50 other Asian celebrities.

Sarwat Gilani

The powerhouse of talent, Sarwat Gilani, has been selected for her groundbreaking performance in the popular web-series, Churails. The star is known to have ‘smashed stereotypes’ and actually define what girl power is. Her work in the series is considered unordinary and something ‘not seen before.’ She is ranked number 21 on the list.

Bilal Abbas Khan

Bilal Abbas is undoubtedly the future of Pakistan’s television and film industry. Ranked as 28 on the list, the actor has proved from time and time again that he is unstoppable and insanely talented. From Pyaar k Sadqay to ZEE5’s ‘Aik Jhooti Love Story’, the actor has shown the public what a shining star he is!

Ali Zafar

He is ranked as number 39 on the list. Not only was 2020 big for Zafar in terms of his singing career, but his humanitarian services also made him noticeable. His welfare initiatives during the hard times of the global pandemic, which inspired many. Ali has also sung an anthem for the Pakistani cricket league and encouraged the fresh talent through his label.

Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy

Last, but by no means the least, Pakistan’s skilled director Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy has made the country proud on international platforms not once but multiple times. Ranked as 49 on the list, Sharmeen is known to use her platform for greater causes, such as raising awareness on social, unspoken issues.

The director has also been signed to direct one episode of the upcoming Ms. Marvel series. One of the best works of the oscar winner this year was Sitara: Let Girls Dream.
