Mary is an Indian Olympic boxer hailing from Manipur. The five gold medalist inspiration has done something that has literally left all the jaws dropped and mouths opened across the world.

She had a very narrow timespan to fit in the 48-kilo category before the general weigh-in, but she was all set and knew exactly how to do it. You must be thinking, how can she do it? And more than that, how can it be done?
Well, Mary shares that she achieved this unreal goal by skipping rope. She took her dose of peaceful sleep at the flight the flight and skipped rope for an hour to achieve it. From her flight landing at 3:30 to her weigh-in at 7:30, Mary gave it her all and she made it happen.
“I did skipping for an hour at a stretch and just like that, I was ready”. – she said in her interview with The Free Press Journal.
Her concerned effort for quick weight loss to avoid getting disqualified from the 13th Silesian Open Boxing Tournament has made the buzz on international media. With this crazy achievement, Mary also managed to bag her third gold of the year!
For those who are unaware of the name, Mary Kom is a boxing sensation, coming from a very humble background in India. Breaking all stereotypes, she chose boxing, what is commonly perceived as a ‘masculine’ profession and fed her four siblings.
Regardless of her age and 3 children, Mary stands strong and is not looking to retire any time soon. The 36 years old athlete has her eye fixated on gold for 2020 Olympics – again!
