Prime Minister Imran Khan’s speech recently went viral in which he was criticizing Nawaz Sharif. Imran Khan brought the former premier’s grandson in the conversation and mentioned that he plays polo in Britain, which is expensive. He also told that Junaid Safdar got his money by looting the public.
After PM Khan’s speech, Maryam Nawaz decided to give a reply to the PM by telling him that she didn’t want to bring children into it but Khan deserves a befitting reply. Maryam passed antisemitic remarks in an attempt to respond to Khan’s statement and told him how her son isn’t ‘being raised in the lap of Jews.’
After Maryam’s statement, Jemima Goldsmith called out Maryam Nawaz for her antisemitic comments. Jemima wrote that despite leaving Pakistan in 2004 after a decade of antisemitic attacks by politicians and the media, it still continues. She also mentioned that she was given death threats.
However, it didn’t stop there as Maryam also responded to Jemima after her Tweet. The politician wrote, ‘I have absolutely no interest in you, your sons, or your personal lives..but if your ex drags in families of others out of spite, others will have nastier things to say.’ She then told Jemima that it is her ex who should be blamed.
Both Maryam Nawaz and Imran Khan really went ahead by attacking each other’s children. It is never okay to go after the children or to pass antisemitic remarks. Instead of criticizing each other, passing derogatory remarks about one another’s children is absolutely unethical.
