Special Representative of the PM on Religious Harmony, Maulana Tahir Ashrafi has opened up about his views on advertisements featuring women.
Maulana Tahir Ashrafi has criticized Pakistani advertisements. In a press conference at Punjab Institute of Quran and Seerat Studies, Ashrafi expressed his views. He said that he is against advertisements featuring women unnecessarily.
Moreover, he also said that there are so many good-looking men in the country, advertisers still feature women to ‘represent’ their brands.
He also discussed the strategy of curbing Islamophobia at the same conference. Tahir said that the government is talking to scholars from across the globe for this purpose.
Other than this, he also talked about the role of Ulema in eradicating obscenity.
