PM Imran Khan talks about the Minar-i-Pakistan incident, says children need to be brought up properly

In a public address, Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan has given his two cents on the Minar-i-Pakistan incident.

The premier said that he was ‘pained and ashamed’ by the incident, where a female TikToker was assaulted by over 400 men at the national monument. He added that this is happening due to the improper upbringing of men, and it is a fundamental reason behind the destruction we are witnessing in society at the moment.

In PM Khan’s first public address since 14 August 2021, he addressed all the currently ongoing issues in the country. He said that all the sex crimes happening in the country are not at all part of the culture or religion.

The PM said that during his childhood, no one could have imagined such acts would happen in the country. He said that he has been across the world, and the respect he saw being given to women existed in only ‘Muslim countries’ but not the west. The reason behind everything that is happening today is because children are not being brought up properly.

The premier emphasized the importance of training the young generation and teaching them ‘Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH)’, as children nowadays have exposure to everything due to the internet and cellphones. According to him, children should be taught about the righteousness of the Holy Prophet (SAWW).
