The special service basically aims at helping Pakistanis go through whatever hardship they are facing which forced them to think suicide is the only option. The hotline would not only assist the stressed individuals but will also help provide solutions to tackle anxiety.

Google has partnered with Umang against the increasing suicide rate in Pakistan. According to estimates given by WHO, Pakistan has around 130,000 to 270,000 attempted suicide cases every year. Other than this, mental-health-related topics like anxiety and depression also spiked in 2021 as per the Google trends.

This service is available for desktop and mobile (both android and iOS) users. To connect to the hotline, an individual only needs to search for the suicide helpline on Google. The search displays the number.

Umang is an online counseling and suicide preventive service. It is a 24/7 available mental health helpline that is completely free. It also has access to counselors, therapists, and clinical psychologists.
