Celebrities demand justice for 14-year-old Sunita Masih

Pakistani celebrities are condemning the gang-rape of a Christian girl, Sunita Masih.

The 14-year-old girl was asked to recite Kalimah. Upon her denial, she was abducted from Faislabad and sexually assaulted. The rapists tortured her by shaving her head for refusing to convert.

Several prominent personalities took to social media where they have addressed the issue of forced conversions in Pakistan. The celebrities have expressed their outrage over the heinous incident and they demanded justice for the 14-year-old who has been a subject to brutality.

Adnan Siddiqui expressed his anger questioning why we are turning into ‘morally depraved monsters.’

Armeena Khan also made sure to raise her voice. The actress urged the public to speak up against the injustices happening in the country because many who oppose such acts elsewhere, stay quiet when it comes to their own country.

The star, Faysal Quraishi also condemned the brutal act. He demanded the highest form of punishment to those behind such crimes so they can be an example for others who think of doing something similar.

TV host, Shafaat Ali also asked for justice for the innocent victim.

Many are speaking up for Sunita Maseeh. The twitter users are explaining how such acts are nowhere near the teachings of Islam and how such people shouldn’t be called ‘Muslims.’
