Supermodel Bella Hadid has called out India for over ‘Ban Hijab’ conflict. The model took to her official Instagram account to voice her opinion.
Bella Hadid is a staunch advocate of women’s rights. She is vocal on multiple issues and never shy’s away from voicing her opinion publicly. Hadid is known for her headstrong personality.
Recently, the actress called out India and several other countries. Posting a picture on her official Instagram, the model wrote a lengthy caption. She wrote, ‘In other forms of discrimination: I urge France, India, Quebec, Belgium and other countries in the world who are discriminatory against Muslim women.’
She urged them to rethink the decisions they have made about a body that isn’t theirs. ‘It is not your job to tell them what they should or shouldn’t wear. Especially, when it is pertaining to faith and safety,’ she added.
The model also stated how it is not their job to tell women if they can study or play sports especially when it is pertaining to their faith and safety. Talking gave an example specifically of France. She said that women there are not allowed to wear hijab to schools, sports, or even on their ID pictures.
‘You can’t be a civil worker or work in hospitals with a Hijab,’ she revealed further. Shedding light on the condition in France, Hadid also told how to get scholarships in the universities, they have to take their Hijab off.
‘It’s ridiculous and really shows how Islamophobic the world is without even acknowledging it,’ she added. Bella believes that it is ridiculous how men think they can make decisions for women in 2022. ‘It is not only laughable but actually sick in the head,’ she concluded.
Bella Hadid is also a strong supporter of Palestinian rights.
