PICTURES | Turning back the time to when Princess Diana came to Pakistan

Netflix’s latest season of ‘The Crown’ is making everyone feel nostalgic about Princess Diana, and the love for the princess is now renewed.

Everyone wants more of her, and for Pakistanis, what better to do than turn it all the way back to when the people’s princess Lady Diana came to Pakistan. She visited Pakistan thrice, once in 1991, and then in 1996 and 1997.

In 1991, she paid a solo trip to the country, and her bodyguard at the time Ken Wharfe also wrote a book about his experiences working for her, in which he described Princess Diana’s visit to Pakistan as ‘hugely positive’.

Then, she returned to the country five years later at the incumbent Prime Minister Imran Khan’s invitation for the fund-raising of Shaukat Khanum.
