Impact Hallmarks shortlists Bilquis Edhi from among 190 countries for the ‘Person of Decade’ award
Impact Hallmarks, a UK-based international organization, has shortlisted the humanitarian and philanthropist ‘Bilquis Edhi,’ who is the head of Bilquis Edhi Foundation, for the ‘Person of Bi-decadal 2000-2020’ award.
The humanitarian from Pakistan has her name in the list of finalists which includes 20 personalities from about 190 countries.
An accomplishment of Edhi includes receiving 1986 Ramon Magsaysay Award for Public Service. Her charity work run by the name of ‘Edhi Foundation’ has been able to save over 42,000 abandoned babies. For her philanthropy projects, she has also been awarded ‘Hilal e Imtiaz’.
Impact Hallmarks are conducting online opinion pole for audience from around the globe to vote for the ‘Person of Decade’ as stated by the foundation and SAARC-ASEAN Post-Doctoral Academia Directorate. The final results will be shared on 25th of January, 2021.
