A few days ago, news circulated all across social media that claimed that the CEO of Sana Safinaz Sana Hashwani was tested positive for the coronavirus Covid-19 after returning from the UK. The reports went on to say that she is in the hospital in critical condition.
The Sana Safinaz offical instagram page put out a statement to debunk the false rumours.
In the post, they also attached Sanas test results that clearly show her to have tested negative.
Even though she’s tested negative she has been in quarantine since her return and will continue to do so for at least the next 2 weeks.
Times like these, where everyone is practising social distancing and trying to stay isolated at home, everyone tries to use the internet to their advantage and stay updated with the news. It is very important to know how the world is doing and how many people are infected with the virus at all times.
However, this doesn’t mean that we begin to believe every single thing we see online. When there’s too much information there’s always chances of misinformation. It’s our responsibility to make sure that we only trust the word of credible sources that can be verified.
Unless someone or their immediate family confirms that they are infected do not believe it. Do your research and always remain calm.
