Are you one of those people that have tried using rose water many times but it’s never really worked out for you?
“All-natural skincare” in Pakistan doesn’t always come with a clear list of ingredients. There may be an additive or preservative in your store-bought rose water that might cause skin irritation for you.
Have you ever considered making a fresh batch of rose water yourself and giving it another try?
Yup, you read it right, you CAN make your own rose water!
What you will need:
- A few roses duh
- Water (preferably distilled)
How do we take the two and turn them into rosewater?
Take a saucepan, and fill it up with your rose petals
Tip*: The pink-er your roses, the pink-er your rose water will be
Next, you pour in water, just enough to fully cover up the rose petals. (kinda like making a tea)
Set your heat on low and let it simmer until the rose petals turn white
Strain the petals away from the Rosewater
Transfer to an airtight jar and cool in the fridge
Your rose water is ready for use and will stay fresh for about a week.
Making this from scratch shows you how real rosewater won’t actually stay fresh for too long, the storebought bottles that last you all through the summer might have a lot more in them than you’re signing up for.
