Imagine meeting someone for the very first time, their overall appearance and personality is spot on. You admire the way they carry themselves and how they communicate so effectively. Now as they continue with the conversation, you obviously joke around as well.
Somewhere along the jokes, the ‘oh-so perfect’ person happens to smile, revealing his/her blindingly pearly whites. Now as you fix your focus on their smile, you can’t help but stare at their stained and yellow teeth.
What a turn off right?
Now no one wants to feel embarrassed or conscious about their teeth.
With time and lazy oral hygiene, our teeth start staining and getting a yellow color.
No one wants that to come in the way of their gorgeous looks. So let’s look at how we can whiten up our teeth naturally at home:
- Make changes in your diet:
First of all, you should avoid eating those foods that stain your teeth such as tea, coffee and juices. Foods that are acidic in nature can break down the enamel of your teeth, making them yellow. These include sodas, coffee and citrus. If you do consume them, make sure you brush your teeth afterwards.
- Baking soda:
Baking soda is an excellent natural ingredient that can help in wiping away those stubborn stains. You can gently brush away the hard spots that have been happily vacationing on your teeth.
All you have to do is mix one teaspoon of baking soda in about two teaspoons of water. Then brush your teeth with this mixture.
You need to be patient while waiting for results as this method takes some time to work.
- Oral hygiene:
The best thing that you can do for your teeth is maintaining a good oral hygiene. By doing so, you will not only be avoiding stains or yellow-ing but will you also prevent gum decay. Brush your teeth twice a day and floss to remove any food or plaque in between the teeth. Also follow a proper brushing technique.
With these methods, hopefully you will reach your desired goals of squeaky clean teeth. Do give them a try and let us know about your experience in the comments.
