HAIRCARE: Here a few tips and tricks to help promote hair growth this winter season!

Winters are always hard on the hair and skin as it tends to make them dry. Shiny, healthy hair is everyone’s dream. Taking care of your hair is one of the greatest favors you can do to yourself if you want them to remain healthy and shiny.

We have put together some of the easiest things you can do to make your hair stay shiny, healthy, and hydrated not only for winters but throughout the year. These tips will also enhance your hair growth to the maximum.

Oil your hair

Our mom probably used to oil our hair as a kid, and we complained because we always thought it was unnecessary. However, little did we know the benefits and need of oiling, especially during this time of the year.

A good oil massage enhances the blood circulation in your scalp and hydrates the hair; It prevents dandruff, a recurring problem in winters, and improves hair growth.

People have different opinions on which oil works best. Hence, you should use the one which works for you. You can go for coconut oil, castor oil, almond oil, or whatever suits you.

Use a hair mask

It is recommended that you use a hair mask at least once a week, but you should consider using them twice or even thrice if your hair is drastically damaged. There are a wide variety of options from which you can choose. The best thing about hair masks is that you can easily make them at home using the basic ingredients available in your kitchen. You can go for eggs and yogurt or use a coconut oil hair mask.

Hair masks work specifically for hair that is dry and damaged. Hair masks target the scalp and make it moisturized and healthier. They can also add shine to the hair and reduce frizz.

The right hair mask every now and then can do wonders to your hair.

Use onion water

One of the most well-known things you can try is using onion water. You can use onion water or onion oil as it is said that the ‘sulfur’ present in it enhances hair growth and improves the hair’s overall health. It helps boost collagen production, thus making the hair healthier and stronger. Other than this, it also fights against dandruff, which is a big plus.

Eat nutritious foods

When they say you are what you eat or what you eat defines you, they don’t lie. If you don’t have a nutritious food intake, no matter what you apply to your hair, you will never get good skin or healthy hair.

It is preferred that you take multivitamins, consume foods such as eggs (source of biotin and protein), spinach, nuts, sweet potatoes, and more. A healthy diet is always the key.
