Winter means extra hydration for both your skin and your hair. While heavy moisturizers can be it for many people with dry skin, tackling dried-out hair might not be as easy. During this time of the year, you have to make sure you deep-condition your hair. This will soothe damaged hair. A deep conditioning hair mask is all you need for your hair during this time.
Below, we have mentioned some DIY hair masks that are ideal to deep-condition and hydrate your hair. These masks are everything you need to hydrate dry and damaged hair.
1- Plain yogurt masks
Yogurt has always been linked to hair. This is because yogurt is loaded with lactic acid. Lactic acid can gently exfoliate the scalp which can help with excessive sebum production and dandruff as well.
If you have an itchy scalp during this time of the year, be sure to make yourself a plain yogurt mask. All you need for this mask is a cup of yogurt. After applying it nicely to your hair strands, you need to keep it for 20-30 minutes before washing it off.
You can also apply this mask twice every week.
2- Honey and olive oil mask
Olive oil conditions dry hair. On the other hand, honey helps retain moisture and smooth dry hair. The two work perfectly in combination. They prevent breakage and split ends too.
All you need for this mask is 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of pure honey. After mixing the two together, apply them to damp hair. Cover your hair with a warm cotton towel.
Let it stay for 30 minutes before washing it off.
3- Banana and milk mask
A banana mask is one of the biggest favors you can do to dry, brittle hair. Bananas are rich in vitamins, magnesium, and potassium. It moisturizes the hair.
You need 1 medium-sized, ripe banana for this mask. Mix it with 1 tablespoon of raw milk. Make sure the banana is blended and the pulp is chunk-free.
