Sonya Hussyn has responded to people calling her latest drama ‘Mohabbat Tujhe Alvida’ a ‘rip-off’ of a Bollywood film.
The drama got a lot of criticism when its teasers hit the internet. The cast includes Mansha Pasha, Sonya Hussyn and Zahid Ahmed.
People called the serial to be a copy of a Bollywood film, which starred actors such as Anil Kapoor, Siri Devi, and Urmilla.
In a recent interview, Hussyn was questioned about how she feels towards such comments. She said that she felt really ‘bad’ about it. She further said that ‘a drama takes so much time to shoot, and it involves the hard work of a lot of people. However, when people compare it to some other thing just by seeing the teasers, it doesn’t feel good.’ Moreover, it’s gloomy for the artists who have worked day and night and played the ‘characters.’
The actress said that she personally found the script a unique one and very engaging/interesting. She called the script one of the ‘best’ of her entire career. Sonya also added that she was worried now that she has seen so many negative comments about the drama.
She really liked the overall storyline which is why she preferred it over another drama she was offered the previous year in which the woman was materialistic and preferred money over everything.
She said that in this drama, she didn’t find anything problematic ‘as a woman.’
Sonya is one of the leading actresses of Pakistan. Her range of emotions and unmatched acting skills make her one of the most ‘talented’ artists on screen. She has played some really powerful roles and well, she has done justice to all of them.
Sonya has done leading roles in hit dramas like, ‘Ishq Zahe Naseeb, Aisi Hai Tanhai, and Meri Gurya.’ The strong scripts in these serials made her stand out even more.
Mohabbat Tujhe Alvida is being aired currently on HUM TV. Sonya Hussyn is also shooting for a movie called ‘Lockdown’ alongside Gohar Rasheed.
