Iqra Aziz and Yasir Hussain are one famous celebrity couple. The couple often shares moments with their baby Kabir on their social media.
The Khuda Aur Mohabbat actress recently shared a picture of her husband changing Kabir’s pamper. In the caption, she mentioned how proud she was of her husband for helping her. She wrote, ‘You’ve helped me so much in this new phase of my motherhood, from pamper changing to holding him while I rest for a bit, and making me breakfasts.’
While Iqra is proud of Yasir’s gesture and appreciated him for changing Kabir’s pamper for the first time, some people, including the politician Sharmila Faruqi, weren’t impressed. Faruqi, who herself is a mother, thinks there was nothing special in it.
Sharmila commented under the post, ‘I’m so glad your husband is hands on but it’s nothing to be proud of or anything special.’ She believes that all the involved fathers do this for their children. She gave an example of her own husband. ‘My husband bathes, changes diapers, feeds and takes our son for his Preschool if I’m at work or unwell. And he loves it,’ she wrote.
Faruqi wants to school Iqra over parenting and how it involves two people and not just the mother. However, in Pakistan, fathers are usually hesitant in doing such things. Hence, something as small as changing a diaper is considered big by the majority.
