Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have welcomed their daughter home on Mother’s Day. The baby girl spent over three months in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
On January 21, the couple announced that they are welcoming their first child together. The couple had a baby via surrogacy. However, the baby girl named Malti Marie had been in NICU for 3 months and is finally home. For the first time, Chopra posted a family picture with Malti.
The actress didn’t get into the details of her daughter’s health condition but expressed how special she feels to finally welcome her baby home.
In a detailed Instagram note, Priyanka explained the struggle her family has been through implying that Malti has not been home ever since her birth. Chopra posted a picture of herself with her baby girl and husband. ‘On this Mother’s Day, we can’t help but reflect on these last few months and the rollercoaster we’ve been on, which we now know, so many people have also experienced.’
The actress said that the journey was difficult however, it was worth it. She explained how grateful she is for the precious moments. ‘Every family’s journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith,’ she added.
Chopra further proceeded to thank all the nurses, doctors, and specialists at Rady Children’s La Jolla and Cedar Sinai that went out of the way for her little girl. She thanked all the mothers and caretakers for making it look so easy and wished them all a Happy Mother’s Day.
‘Our baby is truly a badass. Let’s get it MM! Mommy and Daddy love you,’ she wrote.
Concluding the post, she thanked Nick for making her a mother. ‘There is no one I’d rather do this with than you,’ she added.
