Model issues an apology after getting criticized on Kartarpur photoshoot

Pakistani model has apologized to the Sikh community after receiving immense backlash over clicks. The model posted a detailed apology note on Instagram.

The model, Sauleha, took to Instagram where she explained everything. She revealed that the pictures were not a part of a brand shoot or anything. She said that she went to Kartarpur to learn about the history and the Sikh community herself.

She also mentioned that she didn’t do it to hurt anyone’s sentiments. ‘Just saw people taking pictures and I took a lot of Sikh pictures too there,’ she added. The model apologized for her act, making it clear that she respects the Sikh community. She also assured wrote she won’t repeat such an action in the future.

Model Sauleha was in hot waters recently for her recent photoshoot. The model posed ‘bareheaded’ in Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib which hurt the religious sentiments of the Sikh community. This invited a lot of backlashes and the model received immense hate over the action.

Multiple people, including Shiromani Akali Dal spokesperson Manjinder Singh Sirsa, reposted the model’s pictures. They pointed out how the model didn’t respect the place. Moreover, it was also stressed how the model was bareheaded when covering the head is mandatory in a gurdwara.

Initially, it was believed that the shoot was done for a clothing brand. However, it was later clarified that the pictures were taken by the model personally. After a lot of outrage, police initiated a probe into the incident. The police investigated all the aspects and also assured that they will take legal actions against those responsible.

Other than this, Information Minister, Fawad Chaudhry, also gave a statement regarding it. He said that the model and brand owe the Sikh community an apology.
