Is this Indian drama a rip-off of Mere Pass Tum Ho? Well, the teasers say so!

Indian drama and movie industry is known for copying plots and stories from other entertainment industries. They have ripped off many songs, dramas, and even films stories.

The industry simply takes any plot that may have been popular and has a good viewership only to end up copying it. However, this time they took it too far by exactly copying Pakistan’s one of the most famous dramas, Mere Pass Tum Ho.

The teaser from the upcoming drama serial is making rounds on the Internet. the drama named ‘Kamana’ will be aired on Sony TV. It has pretty much the same story as the Pakistani serial.

In the teaser, a hard-working and loving husband can be seen with an overly demanding wife. Although the drama is yet to air, the teaser already revealed a lot. The couple can be seen having different outlooks toward life just as Danish and Mehwish had in Mere Pass Tum Ho.

The couple also has a son which adds to the list of similarities between the two serials. The overall storyline is about a woman with big dreams, and a third person who adores that woman.

Mere Pass Tum Ho is to date one of the most popular Pakistani serials. The drama serial starred Pakistan’s leading actors including Humayun Saeed, Ayeza Khan and Adnan Siddiqui.

Although the drama had a massive viewership and star ratings some people didn’t agree with the storyline and hand criticized it. While some thought it was away from reality and portrayed a negative image of Pakistani women, many simply loved the powerful script. Despite the difference in opinion, the drama still got a lot of fame and continues to do so.
