Hamza Ali Abbasi faces backlash for saying item numbers are based on the ‘objectification of women’

Hamza Ali Abbasi is a well-known name in the entertainment industry. He is the fan-favorite due to his acting skills. Hamza has also been vocal about many social issues and isn’t afraid to have his opinion known. Recently, he shared his opinion on ‘item numbers,’ saying that he considers them vulgar and immoral.

The actor has given his stance on item numbers before too, and well, recently he did again. While giving an interview to a private news channel, the query regarding item numbers popped up again, and Hamza gave his comments. The teasers from the interview went viral and gathered people’s attention.

Hamza said the dance moves in these songs are based on the ‘objectification of women.’ He further added that the songs target the ‘sexual appeal’ of women, and then they are viewed on the televisions to which kids have access. He also said that it is not a form of art.
