Hadiqa Kiani recently opened up about her role in the drama serial Dobara. She revealed why she chose to do such an unconventional role in the first place.
Hadiqa recently appeared in an interview with a reputed media outlet. In the interview, the host questioned the singer about her decision to do the role of Mehro in the drama Dobara. The singer-turned-actress said that she went for the role because she could relate to it. ‘I’m empathetic by nature. I know many women around me who could relate to it,’ she added.
The Raqeeb Se actress said that she runs a salon and so many ‘Mehros’ come to her salon. The actress revealed how so many women come to her at the gym or airport and tell her that they see Mehro in themselves. ‘Most of the time, their husbands are with them. But they blatantly open up about relating to her,’ she said further.
Talking about her drama, Hadiqa said how multiple people, while reviewing the drama, said that Hidayat Ullah was a caring husband. Diving into the storyline, she said that Hidayat Ullah was a very nice person. He was a good provider but he wasn’t the love of Mehro’s life. ‘Mehro’s father was at fault as he imposed him on her,’ she added.
‘There are some things that would unveil as the story will move forward. There were some things about Hidayat Ullah that disturbed Mehro,’ she concluded.
Dobara is about a headstrong woman who marries a young boy in her middle age after getting widowed.
Hadiqa other than having a melodious voice has proved herself in the acting industry. She has stunned many with her strong acting skills. Her best work so far includes drama Raqeeb Se.
