Drama Amanat’s last episode just aired recently. Fans and viewers are reacting to the serial and numerous are unhappy with the ending.
The Drama serial Amanat had a star-studded cast featuring Urwa Hocane, Imran Abbas, and Saboor Aly. The love story had a happy ending with Zarrar and Mehr ending together and Zunaira having an ill fate. However, people are not happy with what the drama portrayed and are calling out the industry for frequently showing this theme.
The story concluded with Zunaira, the evil character, getting a bitter end. She ended up alone with regret and also died in the end. On the other hand, Zarrar, who also mistreated Mehr, threatened her, and took her kid away, was easily forgiven.
Although people had their sympathies with Mehr’s role, they are criticizing the fact that Zarrar got away with all that he did wrong. Viewers think that Imran’s role in the drama was equally toxic compared to Zunaira. So the question many are asking while reviewing the drama is about the ‘free pass’ he got.
Social media users in the comments section pointed out that such serials always promote the theme of men ‘getting away’ with all the wrong they do. A viewer in the comments wrote, ‘What impression are you making by showing all this that men can do whatever they want but would be forgiven by women in the end?’
Here is what the public has to say:
Amanat isn’t the only drama based on such a story, the industry is known to produce such problematic serials. Previously, a scene from the drama serial Angna caused a lot of outrage among the public. People are calling out the industry for frequently showing violence.

His wife calls him out for firstly liking her outfit and then telling her to go change. Zain, played by actor Ali Abbas, slaps his wife to convince her to change her outfit.
