The coronavirus has us all in quarantine away from normal life. We can’t get just hop to the nearest salon to feel pampered. In times like this you gotta do it yourself!
I tend to have random bursts of wanting to do some self pampering at late hours at night, I love staying in my PJs so I’ll DIY whatever I possibly can. One of my favorite things to do is a pedicure.
Our feet are usually forgotten, they’re all the way at the bottom and we notice them less than our hands because they aren’t always in the way. They need some love and care too.
Here’s how I make one of my favorite pedicure soaks:
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
I like to throw in some rose petals for aesthetic purposes too but this can be skipped if you want
You soak your feet in for a minimum of 20 minutes, once your feet are nice and soft go in with your pumice stone or heel file and file your feet gently – we don’t want to rub off the whole foot here. Get your nail clippers and clip those nails, push back the cuticles carefully, file the nails and dry them with a towel.
Follow up with a really thick moisturizer, I like to go in with Vaseline (don’t walk around afterwards though, you’ll slip – I learned the hard way) and put some socks on if you really wanna lock in the moisture!
You’ll wake up feeling like you’ve got brand new feet.
