Coronavirus: Infected Passenger Gets Cruise Ship Quarantined, 3500 Passengers Stranded

Japan has quarantined a cruise ship carrying 3,500 passengers and crew members.

They have been testing them for the new coronavirus after an 80-year-old passenger, who departed in Hong Kong tested positive for the virus.

This was further confirmed by Television footage showing images of several quarantine officers entering aboard the ship named ‘Diamond Princess cruise ship’ at the port of Yokohama on Monday evening to check the health of all on board.

On Monday, Japan’s top government spokesman, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga, stated that the Japanese authorities would quarantine the vessel, which arrived at Yokohama Bay a day earlier than originally planned.
