Mawra Hocane is facing backlash and negative comments after sharing that she lost ‘weight’ during the quarantine.
Mawra shared a picture of herself on Instagram to which she captioned that she ‘lost all her weight and her mind during quarantine’, and people flooded the comment section with all the negativity and toxicity. People began skinny-shaming her, and so much more, all of which has left us devastated.
Is there no way out of this?
Nowadays, hate is becoming extremely common and celebrities specifically are made the target of such disturbing remarks. People have no consideration regarding their mental health or their sentiments. Moreover, body-shaming has become excessive for quite some time now.
People are humiliated for being fat and as in this case, for being thin too. It seems that no matter what you do, no matter how much weight you gain or lose, people will never not comment on your body.
While there could be numerous reasons as to why one loses or gains weight, I think it’s best we keep our opinion about another person to ourselves, especially when our words can have a significant impact on others.
Mawra isn’t the only one who has experienced such hate. Actresses like Sanam Jung, Minal Khan, and many more have opened up about how they were body-shamed and it left them depressed. This particular incident here is the prime example that it does not matter how slim or how fat you are, people will always find something and criticize you on it.
